We have 3 new roles in which for each needs a dedicated, enthusiastic volunteer to lead and shape the way we run as a group!

Our current Group vacancies are:
- Group Lead for Administration
- Group Lead for Fundraising and Recruitment
- Group Lead for Digital/Social Media
1. Group Lead for Administration
The Group Administration team will assist the Group Leadership Team supporting them in an effective process e.g. administration.
Skills required:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Be computer literate
- Be a self-motivator and be able to motivate others positively
- Able to work well and as appropriate take minutes
- Ability to negotiate compromises
Personal qualities
- Ability to work within predefined limits (for examples timescales and budgets)
- Self-motivated
- Accept the policies and rules of The Scout Association
- Accept and promote scouting’s fundamentals
- Have time available, amongst other commitments to commit to the role
- Ability to meet deadlines
- A willingness to promote the agreed, viewpoints rather than perpetuate personal views
- Have a flexible approach

2. Group Lead for Fundraising and Recruitment
The Group Lead for Fundraising for Recruitment is to lead the fundraising and recruitment of the young people and adults on behalf of the Group Leadership Team.
Skills required:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Be computer literate
- Be a self-motivator and be able to motivate others positively
- Able to work well and as appropriate take minutes
- Ability to negotiate compromises
- Create and look after relationships outside of Scouts to help deliver the programme and recruit adults and young people. This could include local community leaders, other youth groups, volunteer recruitment agencies, and local media and social media outlets.
- Plan and run fundraising events when they’re needed.
Personal qualities
- Have a flexible approach
- Ability to work within predefined limits (for examples timescales and budgets)
- Self-motivated
- Accept the policies and rules of The Scout Association
- Accept and promote scouting’s fundamentals
- Have time available, amongst other commitments to commit to the role
- Ability to meet deadlines
- A willingness to promote the agreed, viewpoints rather than perpetuate personal views
- Knowledge of Safer Recruitment

3. Group Lead for Digital/Social Media
Skills required:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Be computer literate
- Be a self-motivator and be able to motivate others positively
- Be able to use website based cms systems and/or social media networks.
Personal qualities
- Ability to work within predefined limits (for examples timescales and budgets)
- Self-motivated
- Accept the policies and rules of The Scout Association
- Accept and promote scouting’s fundamentals
- Have time available, amongst other commitments to commit to the role
- Ability to meet deadlines
- A willingness to promote the agreed, viewpoints rather than perpetuate personal views
- Have a flexible approach
- Able to promote scouting to the wider area through the groups media network.
