Coronavirus Update

Dear All Parents and Carers of 2nd Bramley

You will no doubt be aware that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to develop around the world. Yesterday, the Government changed the response phase to ‘delay’ and issued further advice.

In line with this advice – and advice from The Scouts national HQ – schools are not yet closing and therefore neither will we at this time.

The latest NHS advice is to stay at home for 7 days if you have either a high temperature or a new, continuous cough. For further details on the latest official advice, refer to the NHS website https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/ at all times.

As an extra, precautionary measure we will be insisting all members wash their hands upon arrival at the hall and at further intervals as deemed necessary by our volunteers during each meeting, if required. You are welcome to bring hand gel if you like, although soap and hot water are readily available at the hall.

There are a number of Scouting events on the horizon (Challenge 20, Easter event) but until Government advice changes and the various organisers tell us otherwise, we must assume these events will go ahead as planned.

With a fast developing matter such as this, all of this information is subject to change but please be assured that we will be following all official advice and keeping the health and wellbeing of our members – both youth and voluntary – our number one priority at all times.

The Group Executive has decided that our last day will be the 28th March for the Easter  unless we state otherwise.

If you have any queries or concerns, please contact me directly in the first instance or speak to a section leader.
