Adult Volunteers…

The Scout Association offers fun and everyday adventure to 500,000 young people between the ages of 6 and 25 across the United Kingdom.

The main goal is to help young people achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as Members of their local, national and international communities.

Can you be part of our success?

Whether its one night a week, one hour a week or a couple of hours per month, be it in a uniformed leaders role, or a more back of house support function, you can play a key role in helping us – and have a great time along the way.

We promise that you will receive full training and support to help you settle into your new role, and I can almost guarantee that within weeks you will start to wonder why you did not volunteer years ago.

There really is a role for everyone.

Lots of people state that they would like to give something back to their community – but they don’t know how. Volunteering at 2nd Bramley Scout Group is easy just click on the contact us page.

They are many different roles that you could do which range from.

Leaders/Assistant Leaders – These adults form the uniformed leadership team who actively plan and run the sections and the associated programmes. Full Training is provided at no cost and its great fun and very rewarding.

Sectional Assistants – As a sectional assistant you support the uniform leaders in the running of the programme. Uniform is an optional extra and whilst training is provided there is no expectation on you to complete any training other than the “getting started” which is the basics of scouting and child protection etc – to ensure that both you and young people are safe.

Management Committee – responsible for the support of Scouting – for example will manage the groups/ districts accounts and administration etc.

Current Vacancies

We’re currently looking for volunteers for our upcoming Active Support Unit. The unit would be in charge of maintaining the upkeep of the Scout Hut, helping out with fundraising activities, help support the youth programme by highlighting and exploiting skills the different members might present.

Active Support Unit Manager

We are currently looking for someone to inspire and lead a team of members.

The Manager is responsible for the management, leadership and day to day running of a particular Scout Active Support Unit.

The Scout Active Support Manager works with the Group Scout Leader or responsible Commissioner to agree a service agreement which details the purpose of the Scout Active Support Unit.
